Shachar
A downloadable game
The game takes place on Shachar, a distant world where water has slowly swallowed the remains of a once-thriving civilization. You play as a lone explorer who wakes up near an abandoned outpost, with no memory of how you got there. Ancient machines are coming back to life, strange signals are rising from beneath the ruins, and something deep below the surface seems to be calling you.
Across three levels, you explore the ruins, fight hostile enemies, and piece together fragments of the planet’s past. Each level takes you further into the mystery, until you face a powerful final boss guarding the secret behind whatever is awakening below.
Shachar is a personal project I created to explore game development on the classic Amiga. For me, it’s been about working through the whole process: getting the graphics working, experimenting with sound, refining the gameplay, and more... It’s a small game and a learning experiment, so don’t expect a blockbuster :-) I’ve also used AI throughout development to help with ideas, code, content, and trying out different approaches.
I designed the game for a standard Commodore Amiga 1200 with Kickstart 3.0, without needing an accelerator or extra memory. I’ve tested it in WinUAE using Kickstart 3.1. When you start the game, loading takes a little longer than usual because of the playable demo on the intro screen.
Have fun!

This ticks the right boxes already. Pacing feels good. I love the way you add a layer of storytelling to your game, and the Banshee-like art direction is top notch. Curious to learn how you created the visual assets.
Nice!
Much appreciated, Many thanks, I appreciate your help.
Awesome, this is a great foundation for an excellent game, I hope you continue to work on it.
Thanks! Glad you like it. Honestly, it's just a little experiment for now. Not sure if I'll drop an update later, but we'll see!
